Membership Committee

Manages membership applications, recruitment, and annual reporting.

5+ members 2-year term Renewable (up to 2 terms) Exec member required
  • Receive applications for ordinary and associate membership.
  • Submit applications to the General Assembly for voting once per year.
  • Coordinate with Governorate Delegates to recruit capable young members.
  • Present annual reports to the Executive Committee and to the General Assembly.
Chairman designated by the Executive Committee for 2 years, renewable up to two successive terms.

Education Committee

Organizes and supervises EGSSA educational and teaching activities.

5+ members 2-year term Renewable (up to 2 terms) Exec member required
  • Organize and supervise educational activities.
  • Oversee teaching activities.
  • Present an annual report at the General Assembly.
Chairman is designated by the Executive Committee for 2 years, renewable up to two successive terms.

Research & Development Committee

Leads clinical/experimental research activities and specialized working groups.

5+ members 2-year term Renewable (up to 2 terms) Exec member required
  • Organize clinical and experimental research activities.
  • Build working groups (headed by an R&D member) confirmed by the Executive Committee.
  • Present an annual report at the General Assembly.
Working groups: Subacromial/Rotator Cuff, Glenohumeral, Claviculo-scapular, G-H Instability, Arthroplasty, Fractures, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy, Elbow, PSI, Arthroscopy, Tumors, Pediatric, Neuromuscular/Neurophysiology.

Financing Committee

Aligns financial resources with strategic priorities and strengthens sustainability.

5 members 2-year term Renewal possible Treasurer included
  • Implement more efficient methods for collecting annual fees.
  • Discontinue canceling the annual congress in years when ICSES is organized.
  • Improve industry relationships and develop new interchange platforms.
  • Diversify revenues and identify new funding sources.

Ethical Committee

Investigates ethical concerns and promotes the highest standards in science and care.

5 members 1-year term Renewable up to 6 yrs ≥3 former Presidents
  • Investigate alleged unethical conduct involving members.
  • Propose measures for resolution and prevention to the Executive Committee.
  • Propose measures to ensure the highest ethical standards in science and care.
  • Members withdraw in matters involving direct/related conflicts.
For the first four years of the society, the Executive Committee will take the function of this committee.

Maintains website content and ensures continuous updating.

  • Responsible for website content and EGSSA updates.

Supports Arab and African countries in developing shoulder and elbow surgery.

  • Support Arab and African countries in their efforts to develop shoulder and elbow surgery.
  • Present an annual report at the General Assembly.

Program Committee

Oversees abstract selection, abstract book, and the scientific program.

  • Abstract selection.
  • Preparation of the abstract book.
  • Preparation of the scientific program.
  • Select reviewers for abstract evaluation.
  • Present an annual report at the General Assembly.
Members may serve up to one term (exceptions apply to the Congress President and the General Secretary).

Builds collaboration with professionals involved in care, research, and education.

  • Establish and promote relations with professionals involved in shoulder and elbow care.
  • Organize the rehabilitation specialty day with the Egyptian Physiotherapy Society.
  • Present an annual report at the General Assembly.

  • Comprised of 5 members under 32 years of age and a member of the Executive Committee.

5 members Nominated by Exec Exec member required
  • Responsible for endorsing public relations in collaboration with individuals or institutions.
  • Establish instructional courses in Arab and African countries.
